Working in a sugar refinery I trash work boots. Several months in these are holding up very well. Rubbed in a couple spots for a day or two but broke in well. The treated leather is holding up well to the high and low Ph I encounter at work every day. They won’t last forever in this environment but so far are holding up better than two different pairs of redwings boots I went through last season. They are pretty heavy and have a ton of padding so they are going to be on the rack for the summer months. The insoles are very comfy and I didn’t have to swap them out for dr. Sholls like I normally do. I also love that around the ankle there are hooks for the laces instead of eyelets so when you put the boots back on you can just step right into them instead of using your hands to put them on. I have a very wide foot especially around the toes, the wide size fit perfect. The fit is pretty much the same as the wide size of a redwings king toe. Can confirm water proof up to about the ankle.Super comfortable. Great boots until they weren't. 1yr and 3 mo is pretty poor return for boots that are mostly used for driving truck,and unloading the trailer. No harsh chemicals/environment. They were so comfortable sometimes I left them on instead of changing into my sneakers when I was off the clock. I feel Keen owes me a resole or a new pair of boots. Was so happy,now just disgusted. Side note the grey patches failed/wore off after about 2 months of use. I thought it was a fluke....guess I was wrong.I'm a industrial mechanic on marine equipment the soles are wearing quickly & rubber toe guards are already ripped they are not completely waterproof they are comfortable I've only had for 2 months I've gotten better for way less $Excelentes botas de trabajo pesado. Me siento seguro de usarlas sin problema caminando por zonas de demolición.Les recomiendo que se aseguren de pedir la talla correcta ya que yo ordené medio número mas grande y las botas lastimaban asi que tuve que ordenar uno mas pequeño para no tener problemas.Las recomiendo al 100% pesan alrededor de 2 libras cada bota.Have worn and loved Keen footwear work boots for the past 6 years. I have gone through 3 pairs of their Pittsburgh boots and for something I wear everyday for 12-14 hours they get a lot of use. Lately however finding boots from Keen of any make in my size has been next to impossible. So finding some on Amazon I was even ready to try a different style. Receiving a boot that is a full size bigger than ordered in an extra wide (EE) that wasn't ordered in a box where they had been damaged in transit. Made me thankful that Amazon has a good return policy.Unfortunately in the beginning the sole came a bit loose at the weld, nothing a bit of shoe glue couldn't fix. Fast forward 9 months of extensive wear (12hr days, 6 days a week) on a shipbuilding yard and the sole finally gave in.There is a small crack and will try to get them fixed as the rest of the shoe is in very good condition. Normally my work boots will last 5-6 months so these have survived a little longer.Very comfortable and durable bootsAfter 3 days of wearing these boots, I took them off when I got home and changed into a new pair of running shoes and came to the conclusion that the boots, after a 12 hour shift, had now made my previously comfortable running shoes, uncomfortable, particularly in the heal. The boots are lighter and more supportive than any other work boots I’ve owned. The upper is easy to wipe off and is wearing extremely well for concrete related work conditions.These came recommended and when I looked at the store to try on, the person was raving about them and sad that their store didn't sell them unfortunately. I tried them on and went for a short walk with my dog to start breaking them in. To my disappointment the collar/shaft tore my ankles to shreds; not only blistering but causing swelling that took a few weeks to subside. I reluctantly returned them and my search for the right boot for me continues.Please note that I have thin ankle which most likely didn't help the cause.
